Window Washing on Long Island

Streak-free glass inside and out  screens, sills and tracks included  with deionized water that dries without spots, even on Long Islands hard water.

The problem

Its rarely just dirt on the glass

Windows look grimy for reasons a quick wipe wont fix.

Hard water spotting is the Long Island signature. Sprinklers that hit the glass, and mineral-heavy water generally, leave cloudy calcium spots that bond to the surface. Wipe them and they stay. Over time they etch, and etched glass is permanent.

Salt film clouds coastal glass. On the South Shore and East End, salt-laden air settles on windows and holds a haze that ordinary cleaning smears rather than lifts.

Screens and tracks trap the rest. Pollen, spider webs and grit collect in the tracks and coat the screens, so even clean glass looks dull behind them  and the dirt transfers straight back onto the glass in the next rain.

The result is glass that never quite looks clean no matter how often its wiped, because the problem isnt on the surface youre wiping.

Our method

Deionized water, and the details most people skip

We clean the whole window, not just the pane. Glass, frames, sills, screens and tracks  because dirty screens and tracks put grime straight back on clean glass.

Deionized water is what makes it streak-free. Ordinary tap water carries minerals that dry into spots; deionized water lifts dirt and evaporates clean, with no residue and no streaking. On exterior glass we use it with a water-fed pole system that reaches upper floors safely from the ground  no ladders leaning on your gutters, no missed second-story windows.

Hard-water spots get a dedicated treatment. Bonded calcium doesnt come off with a squeegee; we treat it specifically, and if its caught before it etches, the glass comes back clear.

Interior glass is cleaned by hand, and we cloth the sills and frames as we go.

Twice a year

Suits most Long Island homes  after spring pollen and again in autumn.

More often

For coastal homes dealing with constant salt film, properties under trees, or anyone who simply likes the glass kept clear.

Watch the sprinklers

If irrigation hits the windows, hard-water spotting builds fast, and catching it before it etches is the difference between cleaning and permanent damage.

Why Above All

Why homeowners keep calling us back

We use the right method, not the strongest one

Most exterior damage were asked to fix was caused by cleaning. Knowing which surfaces take pressure and which need chemistry is the entire job.

Were accountable to a trade body

Members of the Power Washers of North America  an industry association with standards around method, insurance, and environmental practice. Very few Long Island companies hold it.

We protect the property first

Landscaping pre-wet and covered, fixtures shielded, everything rinsed after. It takes longer. Its why we dont leave damage behind.

FAQ

Window washing questions

Do you clean inside and out?

Yes. Exterior glass is cleaned with deionized water for a streak-free finish, interior glass by hand, and we do the screens, tracks and sills too  dirty screens and tracks just put grime back on clean glass.

Hard-water calcium, usually from sprinklers hitting the glass or mineral-heavy water. It bonds to the surface and needs a dedicated treatment rather than a squeegee. Caught before it etches, the glass comes back clear.

A water-fed pole system that cleans from the ground with deionized water  safer than leaning ladders on your gutters, and it reaches second-story and awkward windows cleanly.

Deionized water. Ordinary tap water leaves mineral residue that dries into streaks and spots; deionized water lifts dirt and evaporates clean, so theres nothing left to streak.

Yes, both. Screens are removed, washed and refitted, and tracks and sills are cleared of grit and debris. Its the part most people skip, and its why their glass dirties again fast.

Twice a year suits most homes  after pollen season and in autumn. Coastal homes with salt film and homes where sprinklers hit the glass usually want more.

Usually, yes, if theyre caught before the minerals etch the glass. We treat bonded calcium specifically. Once glass is actually etched the damage is permanent, so sooner is better.
